Christmas Eve at our Churches

For a more traditional service, join us for communion in the historic little church at St Jude's at 10:30pm.

Christmas in the Bible

Can you answer the following?

  • If the angels didn't sing 'Jingle Bells' , what did they say? (check out Luke 2)
  • How many wise men were there? (have a look in Matthew 2)
  • Can you say when Jesus' life began? (read John 1 first)
  • Which of the Gospels record the Christmas story?

Why not take the time to read one of the gospel accounts to your family this Christmas?

Christmas in the Carols

Can you name the Christmas carols with these lines in them?

  • 'God and sinners reconciled'
  • 'true God of true God'
  • 'came he to a world forlorn'
  • 'glad tidings of great joy I bring'
  • 'to seek for a king was their intent'
  • 'with the poor and mean and lowly'
  • 'to save us all from Satan's power'
  • 'let every heart prepare him room'
How did you go? Each year our carols do a great job of reminding us of the reason for Jesus' coming. Join us at Christmas and sing them all again.
