Canoe Day (and overnight camp) - Sat 13 March

Venue: Crosslands Reserve, at the end of Sommerville Road, Hornsby Heights, NSW (Northern End of Carpark and camping ground.)

Time: Starting at 1.00pm on Saturday 13th March 2010.
Finish (if camping) mid-late morning Sun 14th (aim to be home for late lunch...)

Camp Overnight: This is optional and will be at a cost of A$10 per person which covers Crosslands Reserve camping fees, and cooked breakfast (bacon & egg rolls and pancakes).

This is a Family Activity for the whole parish, organized and run by Cebs and GFS. We welcome all other members of DDAC (Youth Groups, families, empty nesters, singles, etc) if you would like to enjoy an afternoon of canoeing. Parents are required to supervise their children during for the whole time away, and we welcome the whole family along. We look forward to seeing you there and an early registration will assist us to cater and plan the resources for this activity.

Canoes and buoyancy vest will be provided for general use. Some instruction on canoe handling will be available. Please request this if you require it before taking out a canoe.

We plan to have a BYO Dinner and we will have a gate key for the top Reserve Gate to allow anyone of our group to leave after sunset, and for emergency access.

What you need to bring:
- Sat Lunch (if not had it beforehand)
- Any Food or Drink for the Sat afternoon
- Sat BYO dinner (BBQ available for cooking if required)
- Swimmers / towel / sunscreen / thongs for canoes and swimming
- Camping Gear (all you will need for overnight)

Remember we have to carry all gear the length of the camp ground to the camping area (as per last year).

BLAST Hawaiian Social??
